Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy details the types of information AniCouple collects, how we use it, and the security protocols we use to ensure your data stays private and safe between you and your connected partner.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a private, connected space for couples, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Your email address, profile name, and custom avatar assets when you register using Google Sign-In or other authentication methods.
• Relationship Connection Data: Invite codes generated to link your account to your partner's account, creating a private couple space.
• Shared Chat & Media: Messages, custom stickers, voice notes, and photos you upload to your private chat and shared memory gallery.
• Checklist & Milestones: Task items, goals, checked events, and anniversaries you set inside the shared planning tool.

2. Location Data Policy

AniCouple offers a optional Distance Meter feature that displays the real-time distance between partners. To enable this:

• We collect your device's geographical coordinate location.
• Foreground Access Only: Location tracking is only requested and used while you have the application actively open on the "Distance Meter" screen. We do NOT track, collect, or store your location in the background or when the app is closed.
• Strict Privacy: Location data is transmitted securely to Google Firebase Cloud Firestore and is only visible to your connected partner. It is never sold, shared, or made available to third parties or advertisers.

3. Data Storage & Security

All private data, media files, and chat logs are stored securely using Google Firebase Services and Cloudinary media servers. We implement couple-scoped Firestore security rules that prevent any unauthorized user from reading or writing to your shared relationship documents. Only you and your verified connected partner have access to your shared data.

4. Account and Data Deletion

You have absolute control over your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated relationship data permanently at any time:

• Navigate to the **Settings** menu inside the AniCouple app.
• Select the **Delete Account** option under the Data section.
• Confirming this action will instantly send a disconnect notification to your partner, sever the relationship link in our database, delete your user profile, purge your shared location entries, and permanently delete your Firebase Authentication credentials.
• If you have uninstalled the app and want to request deletion externally, you can submit a request on our web-based Account & Data Deletion Request Page.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top.
